This safe has strong vapor odors, which I assume are from the adhesive used to glue the felt inside. I've had it for about a month and used a fan to try and dissipated the vapors to no avail. They are so strong that I have moved the contents of the safe, a $20K camera plus lenses, into an armoire in another room. I'm afraid the detector in the camera will be damaged by the fumes. The camera is off-gassing and has made the armoire reak of the solvent smell. My wife will not use the safe because she is afraid that anything she puts in it will absorb the smell. This safe is not usuable as it currently is. I emailed Sentry Safe four business days ago, but the have not answer my email. So far I am very dissapointed with the product and am asking for a replacement, which Sentry Safe's literature states can be done, for any reason within 90 days of the purchase.\nCharles Croft\n\ncc: Sentry Safe

This substantial safe was recommended to me by one of the customer service representatives at the main office in Rochester, NY. She said it was the most secure safe for the money I wanted to spend and it was the right size to suit my needs. It is heavy enough that I feel no one is going to carry it out of the house and yet small enough to fit in the space I had available. Its attractive design is an asset to the room and the electronic lock works like a charm. Also, I like the over-ride key feature. The convenient adjustable carpeted shelves inside are a great feature. The only addition I would make to this safe would be a bolt-down feature.
