We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." I use it for the obvious purpose, and it serves well. This safe keeps people out, it is not fireproof or waterproof. I chose the 5-gun model because 1) having the firearms to the rear instead of the sides makes it easier to remove a particular firearm without taking out every gun in front of it, and 2) I live in an apartment, and expect to move 2-3 more times before buying a house. If you live in an apartment, you want the 5-gun model. I intend to replace the shelf with a larger, more stable platform, the one that ships will shift back to front and is not fastened down. A bit of glue should do the trick. I expect to buy another one as my collection grows, and hope [...]will be able to provide another safe that uses the same key.
Service and delivery comments:
UPS delivered on the expected day, and the deliveryman was willing to help me get it up some stairs, despite it not being his responsibility. Yay UPS, you might not be as lucky as I was. \n\nKeep in mind this is the ~70lbs version, your UPS driver might not be as helpful if you order one of the ~350lbs+ monsters.\n\n*I accept the terms of the usage agreement, the exception being that I do not consent to having my review modified by others.
