    I use it for the obvious purpose, and it serves well. This safe keeps people out, it is not fireproof or waterproof. I chose the 5-gun model because 1) having the firearms to the rear instead of the sides makes it easier to remove a particular firearm without taking out every gun in front of it, and 2) I live in an apartment, and expect to move 2-3 more times before buying a house. If you live in an apartment, you want the 5-gun model. I intend to replace the shelf with a larger, more stable platform, the one that ships will shift back to front and is not fastened down. A bit of glue should do the trick. I expect to buy another one as my collection grows, and hope [...]will be able to provide another safe that uses the same key.
