I put this item into use immediately for essential files that need protection and transportation in case of emergency. The fire security rating is more than adequate, and the file case itself is roomy enough for the necessities (certificates, titles, education & employment records, etc.), while ensuring portability; I especially like hanging file feature. My only desired addition would be a sturdy handle for easier transportation of the file.

This is a fine little cabinet that was packed very well. It has a solid exterior and a cozy hard plastic interior, good for storing small valuables and important documents. For the price, the key lock is adequate. The cabinet has a low profile that is easy to store (and hide, for extra security). Definitely a good idea for small residences or apartments, particularly if you're just starting out and you don't have a whole lot of valuables to protect. If you live in a building with a sprinkler system, this will work well because it is only rated for 30 minutes of fire protection. However, it does not appear to be waterproof, so you'll want to be careful where you place it. Hopefully, I'll never have to take advantage of its fire protection. This safe is a good value.
