Product is used to house items that might be stolen in a quick "smash-and-grab." It is simple to use, simple to program and even though it had no bolt-down kit, it was very easy to drill holes in the bottom, use flange bolts and fender washers and bolt it to the floor. With exception to the bolt-down kit not being available, there are no cons. Quite simply this is a good little safe for the money. To get a level above this safe for size vs. security vs. quality the cost of the safes go up exponentially. The honeywell sticker fell off the front but I suspect this is a branded safe and not manufactured by Honeywell anyhow - but I didn't buy it for the sticker!

Service and delivery comments:

UPS, as always, has a POOR tracking website. Their tracking data simply states scan and pickup location and estimates the delivery date. It never gives updates to show real-time current location. I suspect they do this because the package is sitting in some warehouse somewhere and not to go out for delivery until the "estimated date" is reached - because I didn't pay a huge price-tag for next day delivery. Hey UPS - if you got room on the truck, just throw it in!!!! I know it doesn't take 8 days to get from Cali to NY... I highly recommend Fed-Ex - they will get the package to you and do so with a web-site that provides simple updates and you don't even have to register on the site unlike UPS's site...

One of the great things is you can easily change your personal code from 3 to 7 numbers anytime you want. I do not know why this super feature is not advertised. Other safes I have looked at either could not be changed or only had a certain number you could plug in, and those safes were a lot more $$.Excellent value The only negitive is the instructions fail to tell you to enter a letter after entering your pre-set code. i.e. if you set 1234567 for yout code then when you go to open the safe hit 1234567 and a letter.

Safe serves its purpose. Wish the lingering smell would go away! Have placed it on hardwood floor, tucked under in a closet, so sliding it out for use is noooo problem.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was prompt and product in good condition. A bit of planning and maneuvering required to get heavy safe out of both boxes (not unexpected).

The operating instructions ignored the fact that one has to press "B" after inserting personal code. The battery holder is flimsy and it was difficult to replace batteries
