I use this safe to store my handguns. It is a good product thought I was disappointed that the key and the digital keypad are required to open the safe. I simply leave a key in the lock and tacked it down with a little goop. Also I put a hasp on the back and use a cable and padlock to secure the safe into position. I bought two of these and gave one to my daughter.

The safe has a very good foot print. The safe would be perfect if it could be made more fire resistant and fit in the same foot print. This improvement would give the customer more for peace of mind.

My son was very thrilled to get his new Mom Dad proof lock Box (A.K.A Safe), but after 10 minutes of trying to lock it with no success he came to me and asked if he was doing something wrong. As I picked up the box I heard loose parts moving around from inside the lock mechanism, Great something else I have to repair. Out come the tools to see if it could be repaired, after removing the lock mechanism cover and the loose parts falling out I was able to sort out their proper position with respect to the rest of the system and the Box is now able to be locked.[...] I wasn’t expecting anything of high quality given the price of this unit, but I was expecting it to work out of the box.As far as recomending purchasing this product, in my opinion only if you’re handy!
